Editor's NoteThe new health care system is a sick care scheme, established in the middle of the last century. While substantial improvement has been made in diagnosis and therapy, the quality of care has not improved significantly structurally. It's still mostly bricks and mortar in which people who get sick or seriously ill come to be seen and treated by professionally qualified individuals. It has never been planned to counter the exponential rise of chronic illness, which today accounts for well over 80 percent of all healthcare spending. Worldwide health spending is expected to rise from $7.7 trillion in 2017 to $10 trillion in the coming years. The introduction of personalized medicine, the rising amount of data, the entry of disruptive and non-traditional competitors, the demand for expanded care delivery sites, and the revised payment and public funding models all impact the business and financial performance of healthcare.Shaping the Advancement of Healthcare in the Coming YearsInnovations and advancements are upcoming in this field to care for and control and help the patient. With the rise of wearable devices and remote tracking, in addition to traditional health records, a stronger focus will be put on capturing and processing vast volumes of data. This will support more personalized medicine where treatment will be individually tailored to the patient. Trends in healthcare technologies rely extensively on patient control. Implementing wearable biometric systems to provide patients with knowledge about their well-being and telemedicine services makes it easier for patients to receive treatment anywhere they reside. In addition to legislation and technical change, people who provide healthcare are also evolving. Providers are an integral aspect of the healthcare system, and any improvements in their qualifications, productivity, or attitudes will influence how people receive treatment.
